SEGMENTED WOODEN BOWLS TURNED BY NELSON W LONG

  When Nelson is awake, any time he is not eating, he is in his downstairs Studio designing, creating and finishing his different pieces of art. To the left is a picture of a step necessary to take in making his segmented bowls where he is gluing a few different pieces of wood together and using the clamps to hold it until the pieces fully dry.
  

 Above is a picture of Nelson turing a bowl on his larger larger lathe.

Above and to the right is Nelson turning a bowl again on his larger lathe. This is a very precise and delicate process.

To the right is a picture of Nelson standing above on of his many workbenches doing some finishing touches on a bowl. As you can see from the photo, Nelson tends to work on more than one project at a time.
